Brake Safe Mining

Brake Safe Mining is a Witbank based company that specialize in safety tests of the brake systems on all trackless mobile machinery.

The advantage of making use of Brake Safe Mining, is that we do not repair brake systems nor do we supply parts. We thus do not benefit when vehicle’s brake systems fail, we purely focus on the safety aspect and we conduct our tests on site. Brake Safe Mining is ISO 9001:2008 accredited and all brake testing is done according to SABS standards and specifications.

Brake Safe Mining could prevent accidents by providing early warning to management with regards to the condition of their vehicle’s brake system.
By having the brake testing done by an independent company on a quarterly basis, the mine complies to the required Mine Health and safety act 1996 (Act no 29 of 1996).

Brake safe mining recently introduced a light testing procedure on all trackless mobile machinery for underground and surface use. We measure the Lux of any TMM vehicle in accordance with the mineral act regulation 5.3.1. Our equipment are SABS approved and calibrated according to SANAS standards.
